Disenrolling After Retirement

RetirementMany who retire choose to move outside of the New York area, and find it difficult to keep up with appointments at our centers. Both retired members and their dependent spouses can be removed or disenrolled from our plan if they move beyond our coverage area, or develop special needs that make using our facilities a challenge.

A signed and notarized letter from the member or an individual holding a durable Power of Attorney can be submitted to the Central Administration Office to begin this quick process.  Once this type of disenrollment is completed, it is not reversible and coverage cannot be reinstated.  Call our office to discuss your situation and find out the best solutions for you: 212-586-6400.
