We all face personal problems at times in our lives, whether they are family issues, job stress, marital problems, substance abuse, or other personal matters. At times, these problems become too difficult to manage on our own.
The Members Health Assistance Program (MHAP) is designed as a confidential early intervention service to help members and their families with problems that may be interfering with their ability to function effectively both at work and at home. The MHAP Department is committed to providing professional counseling services in a comfortable, private atmosphere with total confidentiality.
Available Help
Evaluation and assessment, referrals to appropriate resources, crisis/short-term counseling, and on-going counseling through individual and group sessions are available.
All MHAP services must be arranged through the MHAP office, regardless of whether you live in-area (Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens) or out of area. The only exception is for in-patient behavioral health care.
